Leaders from China and the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN met in Vientiane for nearly two hours, discussing cooperation.
The eighth such meeting was attended by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and heads of state or governments from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Following the ASEAN-China summit, the two sides signed the Agreement on Disputes Settlement Mechanism and the Agreement on Trade in Goods of the Framework Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Cooperation. (CRIENGLISH.com)
