On August 7, 2020, the China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation hosted an online video international seminar on Promoting the Asia-Pacific Interconnection, facing the Future of Common Prosperity and Sustainable Development. Experts and scholars from 13 Asia-Pacific economies including Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, French Polynesia and China, and the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) International Secretariat participated in the seminar.The current status and future of regional hardware, software, and human interconnection, the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic on regional interconnection, and digital interconnection and other issues were discussed online. Professor Liu Chenyang, the director of the center, participated in the seminar as a representative of Chinese scholars and gave a keynote speech on the trends and prospects of the Asia-Pacific regulatory interconnection cooperation.
