Recently, one of the major topics of APEC Study Center’s 13th Five-Year Plan base, Research on the Impact and Countermeasures of China’s Participation in Asia-Pacific Regional Cooperation and Global Economic Governance by the Restructuring of International Economic and Trade Rules, completed all the research work and formally submitted the final materials. The project leader is Professor Tong Jiadong. Since the project was launched in July 2016, the project has been organized and divided into labor, implemented in accordance with the plan and schedule, completed the research tasks and goals set in the Application Review Letter on schedule, published a number of high-quality papers, and submitted the government a research report with high reference value for decision-making. Since the beginning of 2020, the research team has conducted targeted research based on changes in the international economic situation, especially the impact of the epidemic on the process of globalization and international economic operations, which has significantly improved the pertinence and timeliness of the final results of the project.
