On the afternoon of January 17, Nankai University held an (enlarged) meeting of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee to convey and study the spirit of the important speech when General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected Nankai University, exchange ideas, understanding and learning experience, and study and deploy the school's study, publicity and implementation work. Yang Qingshan, secretary of the school’s party committee, presided over the meeting, and members of the school’s leadership team and middle-level cadres of the school attended the meeting. Center Director Liu Chenyang attended the meeting on behalf of the Center.
Yang Qingshan introduced the basic situation of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection of Nankai University and conveyed the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech. On the morning of the 17th, General Secretary Xi Jinping, who was inspecting and researching in Tianjin, came to Nankai University, visited the theme exhibition of school history for 100 years, interacted with some academicians, experts and representatives of young and middle-aged teachers, inspected the School of Chemistry and the State Key Laboratory of Elemental Organic Chemistry, and learned more about the historical evolution, discipline construction, talent team, scientific research and innovation of Nankai University. He fully affirmed the school-running philosophy and achievements of Nankai in the past 100 years, and sent a message to Nankai teachers and students to combine the specific goals of learning with the grand goals of national rejuvenation.
