As one of the second APEC Senior Officials Meeting in 2018, the first meeting of the APEC Vision Group was held in Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea, on May 21-22. Professor Liu Chenyang, the director of the center, participated as the Chinese representative of the vision group The meeting. The APEC Vision Group will formulate a new plan for the APEC cooperation process after 2020 and provide important decision-making references for APEC leaders. Director Liu Chenyang made a speech at the meeting on APEC's cooperation achievements in the past 30 years, the opportunities and challenges facing Asia-Pacific cooperation, the guiding ideology and key areas of APEC cooperation in the future, and extensive exchanges with representatives of other APEC members.
