In order to welcome the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and give full play to the leading role of college think tanks in serving the party and the country, the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education has recently guided the establishment of the High-end Think Tank Alliance of Universities. On September 20, 2017, the inauguration ceremony of the High-end Think Tank Alliance of Universities and the first roundtable meeting were held in the Ministry of Education. Liu Dawei, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Education, Assistant Minister, Deputy Director of the Committee of Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Li Weihong, Secretary-General of the High-end Think Tank Alliance and other leading comrades, 31 High-end Think Tank Alliance member units and universities from 17 deployed universities Relevant responsible comrades attended the meeting. The APEC Research Center was selected as a member of the High-end Think Tank Alliance of Universities, and the director of the center, Professor Liu Chenyang, was invited to attend the meeting.
