Professor Chang Jianhua attends the 12th Folk Historical Documents Forum
Sponsored by the Research Center of Folk History and Literature of Xiamen University, the 12th Folk History and Literature Forum was held in Xiamen from November 27 to 29, 2020. More than 50 scholars from universities and research institutions held a discussion on "Regional History from folk Literature". Professor Chang Jianhua, director of the Chinese Social History Research Center of Nankai University, was invited to attend the forum. In the keynote speech session, Professor Chang give a lecture named "The Clan and Its Dispute in The Two Lakes region in Qianjiateng School of Qing Dynasty", which revealed the clan dispute and economic problems in Hunan and Hubei regions, focusing on the control of the "family" to the rural communities in the two lakes and the way to develop the clan power.
