On the afternoon of October 22nd, Nankai Political and Economic Forum, Nankai Economic History Forum and Bi-weekly Symposium of Economic Research Institute of Nankai University were held in the conference room on the eighth floor of the School of Economics. The title of this issue is "Land System and Economic Development in Taiwan in Qing Dynasty and Early Modern England: A Comparative Institutional Analysis of Ruling Rationality". The guest speaker is Lin Wenkai, Associate Researcher, Institute of Taiwan History, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. The seminar was presided over by Professor Wang Yuru, director and central scholar of Center of Economic History Research of Nankai University's. Many teachers from the Institute of Economics and dozens of students from the school participated in the discussion.
