Scientific Achievements & Selected Publications

Research interests include the design and synthesis of functional polymers based on pathological features of certain diseases and clinical trial applications, unique macromolecular architectures and complex polymer assemblies, and the design and development of well-defined nanostructured materials. The development of novel synthetic strategies, fundamental study of the materials’ properties, and their applications for the diagnosis and treatment of disease, for performance as non-toxic anti-bacterial nanoscale materials, are particular foci of her research activities. She has published 1 patent and 57 papers on international journals such as Biomaterials, Journal of Controlled Release, Biomacromolecules, Acta Biomaterialia, Polymer Chemistry, Journal of Materials Chemistry, ACS Applied Materials Interfaces, etc. She is the editorial member of ISRN Medicinal Chemistry and serves as a reviewer for Accounts of Chemical Research, Chemical Reviews, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Biomaterials, Biomacromolecules, Molecular Pharmaceutics, Nanomedicine-UK, ACS Applied Materials Interfaces, Nanoscale, and so forth.
