Recently, the final of the 15th Chinese Mathematics Competition for College Students was held in Shandong University. Twelve students from Nankai University’s School of Mathematical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, College of Cyber Science, Nankai Business School and the School of Economics were shortlisted for the final and won a total of 5 first prizes, 5 second prizes, and 2 third prizes.
The Chinese Mathematics Competition for College Students is a national high-level discipline competition oriented to undergraduate students, sponsored by the Chinese Mathematical Society. It has drawn a total of 1.5 million participants so far, making it one of the most influential discipline competitions in China. This year’s competition, which consists of 32 divisions, drew 288,355 applicants from 1,108 universities, and over 1,100 people were shortlisted for the final.
