On July 13, the award ceremony for the “Advanced Science Young Innovator Award 2024”, hosted by Wiley, took place in Shanghai. Professor Xu Wentao from the College of Electronic Information and Optical Engineering at Nankai University was successfully selected as one of the six awardees of this year and was invited to give a keynote report.
Professor Xu Wentao has been deeply involved in the research of flexible neurobionic electronics. He has published over 90 papers as the corresponding/first author in international top-tier journals such as Science, Science Advances, Nature Communications, and Advanced Materials, and has applied for more than 40 patents.
The “Advanced Science Young Innovator Award”, initiated by Wiley, celebrates the outstanding achievements of young scientists in the fields of materials science, physics and chemistry, medicine and life sciences, and engineering. The awardees are selected through three rounds of voting by a review committee composed of internationally renowned experts and journal editors. Out of the global pool of candidates, only six were bestowed with this prestigious honor, with two of these being young Chinese scientists.
