Recently, the China Tourism Association's Tourism Education Branch and Zhejiang Tourism Vocational College jointly orchestrated the premier national tourism product planning competition for colleges and universities. Themed around "nurturing youthful innovation and crafting exceptional travel experiences," the competition's preliminary selection phase concluded with an impressive turnout. A staggering 316 tourism colleges and universities participated, collectively submitting 929 entries.
Guided by Associate Professor Jiao Yan, the Director of the MTA Education Center, along with Su Hongyu, an off-campus MTA tutor and the Chairman of Shenzhen BangYang Tourism Project Design Co., LTD, our team comprising Shen Yihan, Li Yang, Zhang Wanyun, and Peng Shuxin secured the Excellence Award for their exemplary travel route designs.
During the route design phase, Su Hongyu offered professional insights into customer group selection, product positioning, promotion channel choices, and other crucial aspects of the project, elevating its feasibility. This guidance enabled team members to approach the design of cultural and tourism products in a more systematic and market-oriented manner.
This marks the first instance of an MTA off-campus tutor engaging in guiding students in a discipline competition, significantly enriching students' industry insights and market perceptions. It represents an invaluable exploration in nurturing well-rounded MTA talents with a comprehensive skill set.
Looking ahead, our college is committed to actively organizing MTA tutors to participate extensively and deeply in guiding MTA students' activities. Our primary focus remains on cultivating innovative, well-rounded cultural travel talents equipped with a holistic perspective.
