To summarize the successful experience of our team in winning the Grand Prize in the 18th National University Students "Challenge Cup" and exploring a new path for the training of high-level innovative talents, the College held the "Challenge Cup" competition experience summary symposium and talent training symposium on November 20, 2023. The symposium was chaired by Yang Xiaojing, the Deputy Secretary and Vice Dean of the College Party Committee. Wang Wei, the Secretary of the College Party Committee, Xu Hong, the Dean, Li Hui, the Vice Dean, Yang Dejin, the Vice Dean, Li Chunxiao, the instructor of the Challenge Cup Special Award, and the other teachers from the Shanxi Research Group of the College attended. The student team of the Challenge Cup Special Award and the backbone of the College Youth League Committee's Double Innovation Center, as well as representatives of students from all grades, participated.

Yang Xiaojing first introduced the college team in the 18th "Challenge Cup" national college students' extracurricular academic science and technology works competition won the grand prize. This achievement has generated a warm response and a positive role for the faculty and students of the college, and it is hoped that through this symposium, we can further summarize the successful experience and promote talent training and career development of the college. Subsequently, the teachers and student representatives of the special prize team shared their experiences in turn. The instructor Li Chunxiao summarized the team's successful experience from the perspectives of discipline confidence building, college platform building, student innovation training, and academic skills training, and highly affirmed the students' initiative and hard work in the competition process. Zhang Chenwei, the team leader, shared the process and preparation of the "Challenge Cup" competition in detail, talked about the important and difficult points that need to be paid attention to in the preparation of the report, and stressed the importance of taking root in practice and serving society. Team members Luo Jiayi, Wei Feiyu and Tang Haiyu shared their thoughts and feelings on the harvest of competition, personal growth and the relationship between innovation and practice. The sharing of the teachers and students of the team helped the teachers and students present to review the "Challenge Cup" competition process from scratch, step by step, and fully feel the spirit of the team's perseverance and hard work.

To encourage the winning team, the Dean Professor Xu Hong, on behalf of the college, presented a special reward of 10,000 RMB yuan to the "Challenge Cup" special award team, inspiring students to achieve better results in future learning, research, and competition.

Subsequently, the participating teachers and student representatives exchanged speeches on the experiences, practices, and improvement directions of talent cultivation in the college. Li Hui, the Vice Dean, pointed out the importance of discipline confidence, and encouraged students to have confidence in the discipline of tourism, and become a "fresh force" to promote economic development through the deep integration of culture and tourism. Professor Ma Xiaolong stressed the importance of the construction of teachers and students in personnel training, and talked about the need to carry forward Nankai's diligent and pragmatic fine learning style and strengthen teachers' cultivation of students' academic skills. Yang Dejin, the Vice Dean, introduced the co-construction and cooperation between the College and Shanxi Cultural Tourism Department, pointing out that more opportunities should be created for students to participate in depth and stimulate their initiative. From the perspective of a "happy discipline, warm hostel", Dr. Dai Meiling encouraged students to have confidence and make achievements on the broad platform of Hostel. After listening to the sharing of the teachers and students, Wang Wei, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, said that our college has made continuous breakthroughs in discipline construction, academic achievements and talent training recently, showing a positive and good development trend, and the achievements should be thanks to the hard work and unity of each teacher and student. At the end of the meeting, Dean Xu Hong made a concluding speech centered on the core of "educating people." She pointed out that based on the successful experience of the "Challenge Cup" special prize, we should explore and refine the talent cultivation model with the characteristics of the college, and form a collaborative innovative talent training force throughout the college.
