On November 1, Asian Economic Community Forum was held in Incheon, South Korea, and three student of the institute of finance and development was invited to the meeting.The theme of this conference is neo-isolationism, the 4th Industrial Revolution and the Asian Community. The institute of finance and development has been the only co-organizer in China for the third time.
In the afternoon of November 1, the AECF meeting took place at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Incheon, South Korea. At the beginning, the President of AECF, Jehoon Park, delivered a speech, and then Professor Gerard Roland of the university of California, Berkeley and other world-renowned professors spoke at the session.
AECF 2017 discussed the threat factors faced by northeast Asia and the future development opportunities of Asian economic community. The meeting was divided into new isolationism, and the fourth industrial revolution and the Asian community. Two parts had different angles to discuss the process and development of Asian integration. All of the participants agreed that a regional community of northeast Asia should be established as soon as possible in order to actively respond to the rapid change and imminent crisis in northeast Asia.
The closing ceremony of the conference concluded that the only way tosolve the problem of northeast Asia is promoting the construction of regional integration. They held that the United States, China, Japan and Russia should establish a joint security cooperation mechanism in northeast Asia and China, Japan and South Korea should establish the northeast Asian fourth industrial revolution cooperation and give priority to developing the China-Japan-South Korea free trade agreement.
Zhang Yue, Qiao He and Chen Yanzhu in the institute of finance and development participated in AECF Model Asia Union global competition. In the end, Zhang Yue won the best committee award of MAU, Chen Yanzhu won the best representative award of MAU. They won the honor for Nankai University!
