On Nov. 21st2021, a seminar on “The Multifaceted Phase and Multiple Tools for the Development of Digital Economy Regulation” was co-organized by the Competition Law Research Center of Nankai University, Tianjin Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Commission- Nankai Science and Technology Innovation Laboratory of Competition Governance, and the Center for Judicial and Social Studies of Nankai UniversitySchool of Law.
This seminar is also regarded as the fourth interdisciplinary salon of the Competition Law Research Center of Nankai University held simultaneously atJinnan campus and Tencent Meeting online. Experts from the fields of economics, law, journalism and communication, computer science, professionals from legal practice and media discussed the current needs and specific challenges for the sustainable development of the digital economy at home and abroad.
The seminar focused especially on the recent hot issues, key and difficult problems such as the governance of the platform economy, the Antitrust Law (Draft Amendment), the implementation of the Data Security Law and the Personal Information Protection Law. The seminar was chaired by Professor Chen Bing, director of the Competition Law Research Centre of Nankai University. This seminar was a great success with informative speeches and meaningful exchange.
