Abstract


Polyanion-type Na3V2(PO4)2F3 with high potential is regarded as a promising cathode material for sodium-ion batteries. However, it usually shows low electronic and ionic conductivity, further leading to inferior rate capability. Here well-dispersed Na3V2(PO4)2F3 nanoparticles were anchored on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) via a facile precipitation process in an isopropanol–water mixed solvent. The Na3V2(PO4)2F3@rGO composite exhibited apparently improved kinetics and further delivered high reversible capacity and outstanding high-rate performance. Furthermore, sodium-ion full cells composed of Na3V2(PO4)2F3@rGO cathodes and hard carbon anodes presented high power density. This work offers a simple and scalable approach to boost the kinetics of polyanion-type cathodes for high-power alkali-ion batteries.
