On the afternoon of March 8, Professor Chang Ruihua, academician of the US National Academy of Engineering and foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, visited TEDA Academy and brought a wonderful lecture to nearly 200 teachers and students, as well as peers in science and technology and business circles, with the theme of Application of Optical Chips in Intelligent Robots, and deeply analyzed the important value and wide application of optical chip technology in today's intelligent era. As the theme activity of TEDA Academy, this event was jointly organized by TEDA College and Software College.

At the beginning of the lecture, Prof. Chang introduced the basic knowledge and development process of optical chip technology, and then deeply analyzed the application of this technology in data centers, high-performance computing, artificial intelligence and other fields, and emphasized its significant advantages in processing big data, improving computing efficiency and energy efficiency. Prof. Chang pointed out that with the rapid development of information technology, optical chip technology is becoming an important force to promote social progress and economic development.

In the second half of the lecture, Prof. Chang revealed to us the unique method of overcoming scientific and technological difficulties with her profound scientific research experience. She pointed out that scientific research must always adhere to the problem-oriented, not only to consolidate basic research, but also to pay attention to the close integration with applied research, the courage to set foot in unknown fields, and constantly pursue innovation. In addition, Prof. Chang enthusiastically encouraged young scientific researchers to have the spirit of perseverance, face various challenges and difficulties on the road of scientific research, dare to face difficulties, constantly surpass themselves, and achieve new breakthroughs. In the final question session, Prof. Chang enthusiastically answered questions about optical chips from students and business representatives.
