Two international student exchange programs at Nankai Business School received funding from the Undergraduate Merit Scholarship of the China Scholarship Council, as shown in the Council’s official website on February 28. The two programs were cooperated with Seoul National University and Korea University respectively. This allows 4 of the School’s students to exchange at South Korea’s top universities for one semester this year, subsidized with living expenses and air tickets.
Among the 24 approved exchange programs at Nankai University, 21 were at the university level, while the Business School was funded 2 projects. This is the first time that the Council expanded its funding to secondary school level. Since 2013 when the Council established that scholarship, a total of 13 undergraduates at NBS received the support for exchange.
The international student exchange program at NBS began in 2002. As of 2016, over 300 students have benefited from the program. Our school exchanged 30 undergraduate students with Seoul National University and 20 with Korea University.
