On March 22-25, a group of 5 teachers and 8 PhD and undergraduate students, led by Prof. Li Yuelin, Associate Dean of Nankai Business School, attended the iConference 2017 at Wuhan, China.
As the Annual Meeting of the iSchools, iConference is one of the major academic conferences in the information field. This session was the first time that it was held outside Europe or America. With the theme of Effect • Expand • Evolve: Global collaboration across the Information Community, the meeting was attended by over 500 experts and scholars around the world. A diversity of exchanges was available: presentation of research papers, workshops, dean forums, sessions for interaction and engagement, doctoral colloquium, etc. And The presentations at the meeting cover many subjects, such as human-computer interaction, information behavior, information retrieval, social media, and so on.
The teachers and students from NBS delivered 8 presentations on subjects of Information Seeking and Retrieval、Data Curation & Service、Users’ Information Behavior、Knowledge Management & Service、Library Service & Education、Information Service & Evaluation, and displayed the poster in Juried Poster Session. What’s more, the paper of Dr, Fan Zhenjia, title”Roles in Enterprise R&D Data Curation from Perspective of Data Governance”, was awarded Best Chinese Paper Award Nomination, one of the 5 winners in China (Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan included).
