The 15th “Xindao Cup” National Sand Table Simulation Operation Competition for University Students in Tianjin was closed at Tianjin University of Commerce on June 16, 2019. The NKBS student teams won the first prize and the third prize, respectively.
The participants in the Competition were required to adopt ERP systems to compete with other teams. Each team had four players, or a general manager, and three assistants in charge of operation, production and finance, respectively. They should apply what they had learned to run the business in the light of current situation and forecast markets. By simulating enterprise operation, the Competition aims to deepen students’ understanding of business operation management, and help players build awareness of team work and be better able to cooperate with each other.
A total of 28 undergraduate teams from universities of Tianjin joined in the Competition. Outstanding teams included the first prize winner, the NKBS Team consisting of Liu Runze, Sun Siyuan, Tan Junyuan and Liu Hexiao, who major in Management Science and Engineering, and the third prize winner, the other NKBS team made up of Hu Shutao and Sun Xinge from the specialty Logistic Management, Sun Jing and Jin Xueying from Management Science and Engineering.
As is known, the National Sand Table Simulation Operation Competition for University Students is sponsored by Higher Financial & Economic Education Branch of China Higher Education Association. This year witnesses the 15th presence of the event. It aims to explore new modes of innovative entrepreneurship education, boost teaching reform of all universities across the country, refine student learning and practice platform and find more to-be professionals exceling in economic management.
