On May 24, 2018, the group of MBA Center, led by Professor Bai Changhong, Dean of NKBS, visited enterprises in the Marine Science and Technology Park of Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Area (hereinafter referred to as the “Marine Science and Technology Park”) when accompanied with Zhao Jiangmin, Secretary of the Administration Committee of the Park and of the Party Committee. When visiting, the School side had an in-depth survey and discussion with local enterprises on project cultivation, development power, supporting policies, government-enterprise-university inclusion methods, and more. The group was composed of Han Liansheng, President of Nankai University MBA Alumni Association, Chen Yan, Deputy Director of NKBS MBA Center, Yang Kun, Director of Student Affairs and Career Development Department, Zhou Yongxin, President of Nankai University MBA Alumni Association in Binhai, Yue Yuanzhi, Chair of the 23th MBA Association, and some alumni mentors. Practicing the concepts of joint creation and inclusion as new business administration philosophy is conducive to facilitating business education to step over the gap between government, enterprises and academic fields, and promote the cross-boundary integration of theoretical knowledge and teaching practice. The group of MBA Center going out of the campus to explore enterprises can be considered, on the one hand, a profound probe of business education and changes, and, on the other hand, an attempt to break through the traditional industry-university-research institute mode and the limitation of educational resources. This visit will surely tell the way ahead for the implementation, transformation, development, and continuous promotion of the subsequent activities in relation to the “MBA Innovative Learning Practice Sub-center” and the “MBA Student Administration Information Station”, both of which are set up with the Marine Science and Technology Park.
After a brief visit in the Administration Committee building, the group paid a survey journey to UniNova (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., Tianjin Phytium Information Technology Co., Ltd., Tianjin Kylin Information Technology Co., Ltd., as well as Test and Certification Center of Perception for Independent Internet of Things, and had in-depth exchanges with government and enterprises on the development of biomedicine, Phytium CPU, Kylin OS, IoT projects, and more.
