Abstract:
Supply chain coordination (SCC) is one of the most important topics in supply chain management. In particular, in a market full of uncertainties, supply chain agents face non-trivial levels of risk. Thus, a stream of research exploring SCC problems with risk-sensitive agents emerges. Despite being a widely explored area, there are some important research gaps which deserve further explorations. In this seminar, based on my recent publications and on-going research, we will share some recent advances and challenges in this topic. To be specific, we will first review the related literature to highlight some important studies in the area. Then, we will examine SCC challenges under the recently proposed mean-variance-skewness-kurtosis framework. After that, we will explore some latest developments of the field, including the contract dependency feature of Pareto optimality.
