NKU School of Journalism and Communication Holds a Party to Celebrate Holidays

The School of Journalism and Communication of Nankai University organized a Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day gathering for the faculty and students on September 21 to celebrate the upcoming holidays and pay respect to our traditional culture. Chen Peng, Vice Dean of the School  of Journalism and Communication, and Li Hui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Journalism and Communication attended the party. Chen expressed his blessings to all teachers and students on behalf of the school, and gave his warm welcome to all freshmen of Grade 2023 and encouraged them to make friends and enjoy the unforgettable days during their study in the university.

The party was gorgeous and impressive, at which students sang and danced, showcasing their talents to the audience. Guqin solo conveyed the charm of traditional art; singing solo was melodious, graceful, and captivating; rap and dance were full of youthful vitality; and the full choir cheered up the atmosphere in Xiushan Hall…

The interactive lotteries and games between the programs ignited people’s enthusiasm at the party. The homesickness from wishing everyone a long life, sharing the beauty of a thousand miles, the melancholy of the moon is full, and the moon in Mid Autumn is the most beautiful and bright, and the puzzles hidden under the seat, conceive the meaningful ideas and blend the excellent traditional Chinese culture with passions of young students. Gifts, such as round fans, mooncakes, and cultural and creative products of the Forbidden City, represented deep blessings and care.

We were brought together in this splendid autumn to usher in the advent of holidays. The party has received widespread praise from the faculty and students of the school, enhanced the understanding, identification and sense of belonging among newcomers, solidified the cohesion of the school, and injected more vitality into the school. Looking into the future, the School  of Journalism and Communication will continue to adhere to the principle of educating and influencing people through culture, carry out diverse activities on the campus, and create an appealing campus cultural atmosphere.
