The Award Ceremony for Tianjin’s first Safety Knowledge on Campus Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) competition was held on December 6. Song Yan, a teacher from the School of Journalism and Communication, NKU, won the first prize for her MOOC work, How to Avoid Going the Wrong Way in Seeking a Job, which was the only one submitted by a university among all of the 15 first prize winners.
During the 2023 autumn recruitment period, many graduates have discovered that some seemingly attractive jobs were actually traps from criminals. Song Yan's How to Avoid Going the Wrong Way in Seeking a Job helps students identify tricks and prevent from being victim to frauds by explaining some job traps such as paid insider referral, guaranteed offer, and certificates without examination. Meanwhile, Song Yan encouraged students to improve their abilities, serve the people, and contribute to the country through innovation and creation.
In order to strengthen the construction of a safe campus and students' legal and safety education, effectively reduce and eliminate hazards on the campus, Tianjin’s Office of the Municipal Anti-abduction Joint Conference, together with nine organization – city’s Public Security Bureau, Publicity Department of the CPC Committee, Higher People's Court, People's Procuratorate, Education Commission, Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Youth League Municipal Committee, Women's Federation, and Committee of Caring about the Next Generation - organized the first Safety Knowledge on Campus massive open online courses (MOOC) competition, and picked out 115 award-winning works with distinct themes, innovative ideas, rich content, profound ideas, strong educational significance, and high dissemination value.
Li Na and Zhang Qi, teachers with NKU Security Department, won the second prize in the competition, for the MOOC works 13 Strategies for Escaping from High-storey Buildings and National Security is Not Far from Us: Everyone is Part of It, respectively.
