Recently, Tianjin Municipal Education Commission released the Notice on Announcing the 2023 Selection Results of Tianjin Industry-Education Integration Postgraduate Workstation. The joint application by NKU School of Journalism and Communication, NKU Publishing Research Institute, and Tianjin Publishing and Media Group Co., Ltd. (TPMG) for establishing a collaborative industry-education integration postgraduate workstation was approved.
TPMG is a large state-owned cultural industry group with a complete publishing industry chain. Its subsidiaries include book and audio-visual publishing houses, periodicals and magazines, printing houses and bookstores. Its business covers book publishing, integrated publishing, printing and reproduction, distribution, educational services, copyright operation, foreign trade, and creative cultural product development.
The approval of this workstation project marks a significant step forward in the cooperation between NKU School of Journalism and Communication, NKU Publishing Research Institute, and TPMG. The workstation will leverage the respective advantages of each party, continue to deepen cooperation, promote industry-education and science-education integration, aim to improve the quality of master’s and doctoral degree education in publishing, and actively serve the high-quality economic and social development in Tianjin.
