Application Qualifications

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with good health and a valid passport, at the age of 18 and above, have attained a bachelor's degree. Applicants must abide by Chinese laws and the regulations of Nankai University and respect Chinese people’s custom.

Application Schedule

March 1st –March 31st each year. The exam is arranged in late May.

Application Materials

Nankai University Application Form 

Highest academic certificate. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English

Official transcripts of your academic achievement up to the present. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English

A personal statement (no less than 800 words) in Chinese or English

Two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors, in Chinese or English

Certificate of HSK level 6 or above. Those without an HSK certificate or those who do not pass HSK-level 6 should take Nankai University entrance (Chinese language) exam

2 recent photos (33mm×48mm in size)

A photocopy of your passport

Application fee: RMB 500

Entrance examination

Entrance examination date: late May. For the details of test venue and time, please refer to your Admission Card.

Entrance examination subjects:

a. Chinese language

b. Comprehensive exam

Exam methods:

a. The Chinese language test is organized by the admission office of Nankai University Graduate School. The test applies written exam which lasts for three hours.

b. The comprehensive exam is organized by Nankai Business School. The test adopts the method of interview.

Admission

The university admission will be made on the basis of competitive selection according to the students’ exam performance. The admission result will be released within one month after the examination. And the Letter of Admission will be issued or sent out at the same time.
