International FLINS/ISKE Conference Held in Tianjin
The 15th International FLINS Conference on Machine Learning, Multi Agent and Cyber Physical Systems (FLINS 2022) & the 17th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE 2022), organized by the College of Artificial Intelligence, Nankai University (NKU), and co-organized by Southwest Jiaotong University, University of Technology Sydney and Université de Lille, was held in Tianjin on 26-28, August. NKU Vice President Wang Lei attended the opening ceremony and delivered a welcoming speech. Scholars from colleges around the country joined academic leaders from the College of Artificial Intelligence in sharing the academic feast by means of online and offline communication tools.
The FLINS conference is held every two years, and has a history of 30 years. It is the second time that China holds the conference. The conference attracted scholars in mathematics, information science and engineering disciplines, as well as in the fields of decision making under uncertainty, intelligent system, data analytics and knowledge engineering in 16 countries who brought their high-level academic papers. At the same time, the conference also covered such new areas as intelligent system based on machine learning, multi-agent system, sustainable development, knowledge engineering, supply chain and production optimization, assessment system and performance analysis as well as risk and safety management. The conference was divided into 7 topics. Five famous scholars from different countries or regions, namely Professor Olaf Stursberg from the University of Kassel, Professor Frédéric Vanderhaegen from the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, Professor Gabriella Pasi from the University of Milano-Bicocca, Professor Zhao Xin from Nankai University and Professor Kay Chen Tan from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, delivered keynote speeches. The ISKE conference is held every year. The ISKE conference of odd-numbered session is held jointly with the FLINS conference.
