The Department of Financial Management was established in 1997 and has already formed an integrated teaching system which covers undergraduate programs, master programs, and Ph.D. programs. The mission of the department is to cultivate financial talents with solid theoretical knowledge, proficient skills as well as international and strategic visions for renowned enterprises and academic research institutes both at home and abroad.The Department of Financial Management has made fruitful achievements in scientific research. So far, more than 30 teaching materials, 17 monographs, and 30 translated works have been published, and over 200 papers have been presented on domestic and overseas journals. Besides, faculties in the department have undertaken and completed a number of scientific projects at state, ministerial, provincial or corporation levels, including both the State Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Major Project under the Ministry of Education. Moreover, the department has, for many times, won the National Prize for Natural Sciences, the National Prize for Social Sciences, the National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology and many other scientific research awards at ministerial and provincial levels.
