The Institute of Modern Management (IMM) was established in 1997 with the prime goal of conducting high-quality research and contributing to education. Its subordinate research centers and teams engage in research and teaching in the following cutting-edge areas: corporate governance,service management, network organization and innovation, non-profit organization management, hi-tech enterprise management as well as leadership and organizational changes, etc.
The mission of IMM is to develop the management research with Nankai characteristics, and to contribute to the management modernism of Chinese enterprises. IMM keeps realizing these principles through organizing scholars from various disciplines, inviting researchers from distinguished universities and businesses, developing research platforms and networks, and undertaking theoretical and empirical research.
Looking ahead, IMM identifies its development goals as follows: to develop global research platforms and networks through organizing and coordinating domestic and overseas academic resources so that IMM will become an influential research institute in management with Chinese characteristics.
